Sell stocks short

We mentioned that we might try selling some equity indices short in today’s earlier edition. This is the moment, so we now advise selling the US, France Spain, Italy and Japan short. Switzerland may be added to the mix and some US sectors may be better to sell than the S&P-the XLI industrial SPDR being one example and XLV health care being another. Any REIT instrument would also be a candidate, such as Vanguard’s VNQ. Our portfolio will choose these plus France, Spain and Italy. Here are those US sectors:

VNQ, XLI, XLV

Other charts, stops and profit thresholds will follow.  As remarked in the earlier HEDlines today, these trades may only last a short while as a big turn is due on Thursday.
